Dieting Doesn’t Work To Lose Fat – Here’s The Solution

What does “dieting” mean?

For almost everyone, the word “dieting” means not eating the foods they love, eating smaller portions, and skipping the worst foods. I hope we all know by now that dieting is hard and doesn’t work for the long term fat loss we all want.

Let’s take a closer look at the 3 types of dieting, the side effects, and the proper way to approach your diet.

Skipping Favorite Foods to Lose Fat

You probably like foods similar to me and most Americans, ultra-processed, high in fat and sugar, and large portions. We need those larger portion sizes because the food we are eating does not provide the nutrition our body needs. They are just empty calories that our body stores as fat.

If you’re trying to change your entire diet in one go, it can be as difficult as quitting smoking. I tried it and the side effects of cutting all sugar were quite painful. I went on for 3 weeks. The key here is to include some healthy things in your diet and reduce the unhealthy ones. An example would be adding fruit as a snack during the day instead of donuts but only every other day. Then add fruit one more day a week with the occasional donut.

Whatever you do, don’t call it cheating. You can only cheat while dieting and you are not doing that. You’re changing your diet to achieve better health, a lighter, leaner body, more energy, higher self-esteem, and the knowledge that you’re doing what’s best for you and your family.

eating smaller portions to lose fat

Leaving the table hungry is no way. This is one of the things that makes dieting so difficult. This will put you in a bad mood because you feel like you are punishing yourself for eating something you love. After being hungry and weak for a few days, you rebel against yourself and eat an entire pizza by yourself. This leads to guilt and resentment and low self-esteem.

When changing your diet to nutritious foods, it is better to eat more often, with smaller portions. There is a whole list of foods that you can find that are healthy, low in calories, and packed with essential nutrients for your body. The more your body becomes accustomed to getting those nutrients, the less hungry you will be. Personally, my favorite snack that keeps me away from the vending machine is cocktail peanuts.

I eat a handful almost every hour and this phenomenon helps me eat less at lunch. This may be more than recommended but I have a labor intensive job that burns a lot of calories. I still eat fast food on occasion, but it will be just a small sandwich from the value menu, such as a chicken sandwich. Never get fries!

So eating smaller portions of healthy foods that taste great will keep your metabolism and fat burning going.

Skipping meals is the worst dieting method you can do to lose fat. Food actually boosts metabolism and helps your body burn calories. It also gives you the energy to do more with your day and burn more fat. Bad things happen to your body when you skip meals. Your metabolism, the fat-burning mechanism, slows down to conserve energy for your organs to function. If you only eat once a day, your body will store almost all of the food it needs to keep you going during times of no new fuel. It stores it as fat.

For breakfast, I either drink a whey protein drink, about 170 calories, or eat a spinach salad, about 230 calories, but both give me lots of energy, healthy unsaturated fats, vitamins and micronutrients for healthy body function. . Give yourself this boost in the morning and you’ll notice a difference.

If you find that you only eat pastries or donuts for breakfast, try switching them up a few days a week to start. It will take time for your taste buds to adjust to your new diet.
