Simple Weight Loss – Diet Plan for Easy Weight Loss

Is there a simple way to lose weight that doesn’t require lots of complicated rules or counting calories, grams or whatever? Here’s the thing about weight loss: Yes, it can be easy, if you can decide which method is right for you.

When it comes to dieting to lose weight and reduce body fat, there are basically three ways to go. Before getting into that though, think about junk food for a moment. Things like cakes, potato chips, donuts, tortilla chips, etc. are foods that everyone agrees are fattening and not the best foods to eat. Now, what do all these things have in common?

All types of junk food are high in both carbohydrate and fat, as well as low in protein. This high-carb, high-fat combination is junk food. When it comes to losing weight, almost all diet plans avoid or reduce foods with this high-carb, high-fat combination. That’s why all diet plans are either low in fat, low in carbohydrates, or low in calories.

If you choose to go the low-calorie route, it can get complicated. The idea here is to eat fewer calories than you expend. the only problem? It’s impossible to know for certain how many calories you’re taking in or how many calories you’re using.

For example, you can check out all kinds of charts to find out how many calories are in an average banana. But what is an “average” banana? If you look at two bananas, and one is bigger than the other, which one is “average”? And how ripe is the banana? As bananas ripen, they gain a higher sugar content, which changes the calorie count. So, what’s the average?

You can also see fancy charts to tell you how many calories you burn when you walk, run or engage in other physical activities. the only problem? People of different weights and different intensity levels will have different caloric expenditure. So, what’s the average?

It doesn’t even factor in the problem of how the human body conserves energy. Since body fat is a form of stored energy, when calorie intake becomes too low the body tends to conserve body fat.

The specific mechanics of this are beyond the scope of this article, but the point is this: Low-calorie diets make sense, but they don’t always work and they’re actually very difficult to follow. Certainly, they are not simple.

For a simple diet plan, either low fat or low carbohydrate is the way to go. Personally, I have found low carb to be far better than low fat, due to the fact that the mechanism in our bodies to store body fat is triggered by eating carbohydrates, but not by eating dietary fat.

It may sound counterintuitive, but it’s the way our bodies work. The big bonus of eating low carb is that it can be a very simple weight loss plan and an easy way to eat. Typically, there is no counting of calories, and little or no counting of grams of protein, fat or carbohydrates.

It just depends on which low carb diet you follow. But whether low carb or low fat, for a simple diet plan, these are the ways to go.
