More than half of the United States population can be classified as overweight or obese. It’s no wonder why many of us look to those who have successfully won battles for information and inspiration. One of the biggest motivators we often use are pictures. This can include photos of us at a smaller body size, photos of actors and models we want to emulate, or before-and-after photos of losing weight. Use google images and search the words “lose weight first later”. You’ll find over 5 million images posted online. Many of the images have been pulled from various services that provide weight loss support. By searching pictures, you can find someone like you with a similar build and similar problem areas. What worked for that person can work for you. Other images are taken from personal blogs and online magazines. Once again, is there anyone you recognize? Visit that person’s blog or magazine. If they have before and after pictures of their weight loss, it is likely that they have written about their weight loss struggle, diet, and their ultimate success. Photos show us that it can be done.
