8 Fat Burning Exercise Secrets of Personal Trainers

here you go. 8 fat melting exercise secrets my personal trainers use to create wicked programs for our clients. Achieving optimum results in the least possible time. These methods are tried and tested. Otherwise I would not have written them here.

1. Exercise is necessary every day

Well, you must already know this since you are reading this article, but I had to leave it out because some people forget. Hands down exercise is the most important factor if your goal is to lose ugly fat. Sure you can lose weight with nutrition alone, but burning fat and losing weight are two completely different sports. Exercise helps mobilize fat cells as well as triggers your body to preserve the muscle tissue you have. Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. You can’t optimize fat loss with one and optimize fat loss with the other. The best practice is to do at least 20 minutes of high-intensity exercise per day followed by 30-40 minutes of low-intensity exercise.

2. Feed the Muscles

It still amazes me that so few people realize that it is your muscle tissue that burns calories for you. 5 pounds of muscle tissue can burn an additional 250 calories per day; That’s a lot when compounded over time. Over the course of a year that is 91,250 calories (250 x 365). This equates to over 25lbs of body fat in calories per year. So make sure your exercise routine is designed to preserve your muscle tissue, if not build up a little more.

3. Hit the Weight

If you take alkaline diet then eat these 5 vegetables

Ok hope the above facts have helped you to decide that muscle tissue is the key to a long and healthy fat free life. That’s why it’s extremely important to lose weight in order to maintain or even build muscle tissue. It should be given. In addition to the muscle-preserving properties of resistance training, you need to realize that weight training can actually burn the same number of calories as other types of exercise. Plus, weight training will help you burn calories while your muscles repair. In fact studies have shown that a good weight training session can speed up your metabolism for up to 3 days.

4. Skip isolation exercises

This one is for all you old school gym enthusiasts out there. High repetitions with low weights on countless shoulder, biceps and triceps isolation exercises is useless for fat loss. Yes, they have their place if you’re already a super lean fitness competitor and need to build symmetry, or if you have a strength imbalance that needs correcting. But for the most part they’re wasting precious training time that you could be using for better fat-burning exercises.

5. Compound Lifts and Full Body Functional Movements

It’s not rocket science here, but a simple truth that I see many gym goers ignoring. In fact I think I’d declare this the first law of fat burning: The more muscle you’re using at any given time, the more calories you’re burning at that time. Therefore the absolute pinnacle of a fat burning routine would be to perform full body resistance exercises for the entire duration of the exercise session. However, it takes months for most trainees to achieve this level of training.

6. There’s Rest for the Wicked

Resting well between sets is usually necessary during a workout if you want to build a moderate amount of muscle tissue, but it’s not necessary if your goal is to lose weight. Yes, if you want to burn calories fast then you have to at least try to rest while going to the gym. This will make your workout more efficient and put to full use. Taking little or no rest during a workout like the above strategy can take some time.

7. Cardio can be done with weights

All you have to do is ask any of our clients and you’ll quickly be told what a great cardio workout weight training with one of our trainers is. Combination workouts that integrate several different resistance exercise routines will get the heart rate up and deliver great cardiovascular benefits. It is also a great way to burn maximum amount of calories in minimum amount of time.

8. Don’t be afraid to seek help

Doing it yourself may seem like a great way to lose fat, but hiring a professional will be more effective and faster. As with home renovation, it will probably save you time and money in the long run to hire an expert. Get yourself a good trainer who can help you design a good fat burning exercise routine and help you with your nutrition. Consistent use of a personal trainer has been shown to increase success rates by over 300%.
