In this article, I’m going to reveal some ‘magical’ spells about your lower ab workout, which may sound more like ‘three puppets’ than Harry Potter and his friends. However, as any magician will tell you, good magic is all about creating an illusion.
1. The ‘Sit at Your Desk’ Spell
If you’re an office goer, and have to spend long hours at your desk at work, you’re probably justified in complaining about a lack of time for anything — exercise included.
But, wait… for this ‘mantra’ to take effect, all you need is a desk! And a desk is all you have. Sit on the back of your desk in your chair and pull your belly in as far as it will go. Hold this position as long as you can. Repeat as many times as you can during your work day.
2. The ‘Watch What You Eat’ spell
Have you let my caption mislead you? Do you expect something to emerge from your meal that if you watch it will magically trim your lower belly? I’m not suggesting anything so esoteric I’m afraid – I’m just asking you to be careful with your diet.
Avoid soda, commercially fried foods, processed meats, sugar, salt, and foods high in saturated fat. Instead, go for a food regime that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, grains and lean meats.
3. The ‘Magic Ladder’ Mantra
Lastly, I’ve given you a caption with the word ‘magic’ in it. You must be curious to know where my ‘magic’ ladder is. Answer: Everywhere. Every staircase you encounter is a magic staircase, provided you choose to climb it.
I know it must be tempting to take that elevator and reach your destination faster without breaking a sweat. Instead, opt for the stairs—every single time you encounter them—and you’ll soon start to wonder why you ever bothered with the elevator. You can start modestly (doing around 3 flights in the beginning) and gradually increase it by a flight or two. This third ‘spell’ will serve as a cardio supplement to the ab workout I listed under the ‘spell’ caption above.
Trimming your lower belly is difficult. So, if you’re hard pressed for time, or are too much of a couch potato for any ‘serious’ exercise, you’ll need to think out of the box and work your exercise routine into your regular daily activities. So that you can get the most out of nothing. Considerable effort. When your friends greet you like this: “Hey Houdini, you look great!”
