Ayurveda – Natural Hair Care with Special KB-Special Hair Oil

How to use: Take 5-10 ml of this oil in a bowl and heat it by keeping it in hot water. Apply this oil evenly on the scalp and also on the length of the hair. Massage the scalp with gentle rotational movements of the fingertips. Soak a soft turkey towel in hot water and squeeze out excess water. Wrap this towel on the head. The steam helps the hair oil to reach the hair roots. Wash hair and scalp with a mild herbal shampoo after 1 hour.

• Sesame oil (Sesame oil): Sesame oil normalizes aggravated Vata. When various herbs are infused in it, it cures almost all ailments. Sesame oil promotes hair growth and increases the volume and shine of hair. It strengthens hair roots, kills lice and prevents dandruff formation. • Eclipta Alba (Bhringraj): Eclipta Alba is used with success in Ayurvedic medicine. in India. Eclipta alba also shows good antifungal activity hence removes dandruff and also prevents its formation. This plant exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and hence soothes the scalp. A mixture of Eclipta and coconut oil keeps the hair black and shiny.

• Bacopa Moniera (Brahmi): It has a positive effect on the circulatory system. It improves blood flow while strengthening the veins and capillaries. Relieves stress and depression, activates mental powers, fights sterility, removes nervous breakdown, and improves reflexes. Brings good sleep.

• Amla: Prevents premature graying of hair and makes them strong and free from dandruff. Very helpful in diabetic hair loss.

• Sida cordifolia (Bala): Bala normalizes vata and calms agitated nerves. This herb normalizes vata and pitta. Hence it is used in diseases caused due to vitiation of Vata and Pitta.

• Butea monosperma (Palash): It has antibacterial properties. Hence help prevent infection of the scalp and itching.

• Fenugreek: Fenugreek seeds prevent dandruff, hair fall and scalp infections

• Henna: Traditionally used to promote hair growth and keep the scalp free from any infection
