Have you ever dreamed of having a fit, healthy body with curvy abs? The real question is… how can I get sculpted and build a lean muscular body? The best way to accomplish this is by eating moderately and getting up and moving!!! Here are some ways to get a fit and lean muscular body.
Diet
First things first… Your daily diet may need a change so that you can lower your body fat percentage. Usually, diets that include highly processed foods that are high in fat can lead to obesity and health ailments. To get started towards achieving a healthy diet, avoid foods high in sugar and stay away from junk food. Replace junk food with healthier options that are lower in fat and cholesterol. Include whole grains, fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. Occasionally you can indulge in junk food, but make sure you eat in moderation.
Foods rich in transfats like fries, chips and crackers should be avoided. To offset the bad fats, eat foods with good fats and eat foods that are rich in omega 3 and monounsaturated fats. For example, foods that are great to start adding to your diet are salmon, walnuts, avocados, and soybeans. In addition, eat foods rich in vitamin C, such as oranges and kiwis, to help reduce belly fat. Apart from this, stress can also lead to weight gain. Vitamin C will help balance the hormones released with the onset of stress. Consuming vitamin C can help your body convert fat into fuel.
Exercise
Getting your lean, muscular body requires a combination of high-intensity exercises as well as abdominal workouts. When exercising on a treadmill, set the speed at different levels, from brisk walking to slow walking. Intense exercise will help you achieve your goal. Alternating between walking and running can help train your abs. Set the incline on the treadmill to around 1.5 and 2. Listening to music or audio books while doing cardio can make it more comfortable and natural to exercise. If you don’t have access to a treadmill, you can walk up and down stairs to work your abs.
If you prefer to be outside, go for walks and runs instead of a gym or home workout space. To make your workout more interesting, change the environment or setting of your workout. Just like you do on the treadmill, alternate between walking and running at a slower pace. This will ensure that you reduce the fat in your stomach area very fast. Between your walk and slow run, walk or jog at a brisk pace for about 30 seconds. Repeat this cycle for 30 minutes. If you do this consistently, your stamina will increase rapidly and you will see your abs in no time.
Another alternative to walking and running is exercising on an elliptical machine. It will also work on your stomach area. You’ll get an excellent ab workout as your lower body moves with the elliptical machine. By implementing an interval workout, you can aim for 2 minutes at 5-6/10 intensity and then another minute at 8-9/10 intensity.
