Best Exercises for Love Handles

Want to reduce that belly fat? Want to get rid of those love handles? Looking for exercises to lose back fat? If your goal is to reduce your waist size and reveal your abdominal muscles then P90X is for you! In as little as 30 days, at the end of the first phase of the program, you will notice that your waistline has begun to shrink. I’ve been there and can attest to the fact that this program works. I have tried everything possible to get rid of belly fat since last 10 years. Sit-ups, diet, all kinds of contraceptives, I tried it all and none of it worked. P90X was the first time I saw real improvement.

One thing I didn’t understand prior to my success with P90X is the importance of working your entire body. There is no such thing as spot training. You need a full-body workout, including exercises that will work your entire core region. Doing sit-ups alone will not work. The main muscle group is often referred to as your “trunk” and includes all the muscles surrounding the trunk area. P90X is a total body workout and all routines work your “trunk” in some way. However, the program does include two videos that focus specifically on core exercises.

Ab Ripper X is a 15-minute video performed 3 days a week in the Classic version of the program and 2 days a week in the Lean version. The Ab Ripper X isn’t done every day because “you don’t do an abdominal workout every day,” advises Tony Horton. This is usually done after a strength training routine, however 15 minutes is not easy and I found it better to split the two. That way I could give my all for both the routines. I do ab ripper x in the morning and complete strength training videos in the evening. The workout consists of 11 moves and requires a maximum of 25 reps. There’s only 5 seconds of rest between each exercise, so it goes very fast. Don’t be discouraged if you struggle with this in the beginning. I started out doing just 5 reps of each exercise and was able to slowly build up until I could complete most reps. I still can’t complete 25 reps of all exercises!

The other core workout is Core Synergistic. This is done only during the recovery week in the classic version and once a week in the lean version. I actually modified my program where I did the classic version, but replaced the Kenpo X with Core Synergistic. This was because belly fat, love handles, and back fat were major problem areas for me, but I wanted to reap the benefits of the classic version’s strength training and intensity. Core Synergistic includes a variety of exercises that work your core from every angle. From push-ups with your feet crossed and staggered on your hands, to Superman-Banana, where you switch from Superman to Banana pose every 10 seconds, to Steam Engine, which essentially involves standing Involves doing sit-ups from the position of being. You will never get bored of this video.

The best thing about both of these routines is that they give you results while keeping you entertained. If you start an exercise regimen and then stop because of boredom, you won’t have the abs you’ve been dreaming of. This is a non-issue with the P90X. This program confuses you by working your muscles in different ways while keeping you engaged at the same time. Additionally, the fact that the workout produces results quickly is a major plus. Seeing my core stronger and toned more and more at the end of each phase, including the lower belly fat issue, helped keep me motivated. Nothing ripped my stomach like this program. My goal before I started was to be in a bikini and I reached my goal. It was definitely worth the effort!
