Can You Lose Weight By Dreaming Of An Athletic Activity – I Did

We’re told that meditation is good for your mind, and that we need sleep to form memories and to rest, regroup, and rest our bodies. Well, but what if I told you that you can lose weight even in your sleep. I’m sure you’ve already considered this idea, but let’s go a notch higher and take this conversation to a higher level shall we?

There is a great paper to read that might suit this topic and title Intellectual Inquiry; “VR Solutions for Improving Physical Therapy” by Carlo Camporesi, Marcelo Kallmann and JJ Hahn, published in 2013. The gist is plain and simple;

“We present new solutions based on virtual reality technologies to improve the delivery of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Three main aspects are addressed: 1) to allow physicians to create new exercise and therapy programs by direct demonstration capability, 2) automated therapy delivery and monitoring with the use of an autonomous virtual tutor that can monitor and quantitatively assess the motions performed by the patient, and 3) the use of connected applications that display the motions of both the physician and the patient. Through networked collaborative remote therapy sessions.

Well, VR physical therapy is basically tricking your mind into doing the right thing, convincing your muscles that you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing and that your mind is communicating with the rest of your body in the right way. and that everything is okay, you can even see it, thus, your body strengthens those connections, you train your biosystems to work together again, and viola, You are perfect – at least that’s the goal. Well, what to dream. Can you trick your mind into believing you are doing something?

Sure, sometimes dreams of flying come, we all see from time to time, how about dreams of running? Well, we are not the only species that can do this, watch your pet’s paws while they are asleep, they most likely dream of what they do all the time, run. Guess what? They’re probably burning fat, having an elevated metabolism and strengthening the connection of all those muscles to their brain, maybe even building muscle memory.

You can do the same thing, just go running in your mind as you start to fall asleep, as you go into lucid dreaming, think of running in a specific place, maybe around your neighborhood. This will help you burn fat cells. How will I know? Simple, I’ve done it and lost weight in the process. Please consider all this and consider it.
