Chipotle Mexican Restaurant – A Fast Food Chain With Integrity

Chipotle Mexican Grill, the fast food burrito chain with more than 900 restaurants across North America, continues its unprecedented commitment to organic food and supporting local farmers.

I know it’s a cliché, but most fast food chains just talk the talk. The typical solution to becoming a “greener restaurant” is to riff on marketing gimmicks with little or no effort to actually become carbon-neutral or buy organic meat. Everything is about image and perception, not about real world significance.

Let’s take a look at some eco-friendly posers… fake… fake. They usually talk liberally about green topics. For example, Moe’s Southwest Grill brags about fresh ingredients and grain-fed pork. how fresh? Where do vegetables come from? Are pigs raised in the open or in a factory farm? Moe doesn’t get specific.

For McDonald’s, “going green” is just a matter of changing colors. Last November they announced that they would be changing the background color of their logo from red to green. Apparently mega-corporations don’t need to be eco-friendly as long as they can fool their customers into believing it. For McDonald’s, it is now much more expensive to buy grass-fed beef than corn-fed beef. Green propaganda is cheap and it fails easily.

You can find this type of “green marketing” at almost every fast food chain in North America these days. Don’t be fooled – it’s mostly a show.

Chipotle is different. Chipotle walks.

Chipotle’s motto is eating with integrityAnd they can back it up with specifications.

  • All chicken and pork (100%) are raised naturally and humanely.
  • 65 percent of beef (100 percent beef in the Northeast) is also raised naturally and humanely.
  • At least 35 percent of each store’s one vegetable item is purchased from local farms during the entire growing season.
  • 30 percent of all pinto beans and black beans are grown organically.
The problem of gas can be eliminated by giving massage to the baby, there will be many benefits

The phrase “naturally and humanely raised” is not specific. What is considered humanity? What is considered natural? No worries, Chipotle is proud to state it all:

  • complete vegetarian diet
  • no added hormones or antibiotics
  • Responsible Animal Husbandry.
  • Pork, beef and chicken come from reputable suppliers such as Nieman Ranch, Bell & Evans and Meyer
  • natural angus

Best thing about Chipotle? Burritos are mouth-wateringly delicious. Now go and get one for yourself! ,
