My Personal Rave Abs Review

Well, being a Team Beach Body Coach we always get to know about new products coming out. So about October of 2009 we had an informational webinar about a product called Rev Abs made by Brett Hoebel. Brett Hoebel is an international fitness expert, and one of the most sought after weight loss, nutrition and lifestyle trainers in New York. Also in the field of fitness for 15 years. At Rev Abs they have a system they call Abcentrics which basically means their moves target the abs from 6 different angles. Brett teaches you his favorite moves from the unique Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. So during the webinar I could see that everything he talked about made sense and that Rev Abs was very affordable and required no more than a few bands or dumbbells. So I bought Rev Abs and it arrived after about 5 days. I opened it and it came with 8 workout DVDs, fat calipers, workout calendar, a nutrition guide (14 Day Slim Down – I dropped 13 pounds in 14 days), a program guide, and even Exercise on the go is also called anytime/anywhere abs. So it is a 90 day program divided into 2 phases, each phase of 45 days.

Phase 1+ 2 workouts are:

How To Abcentrics/ Capoeira – You learn how to activate your abs to get maximum results. 15 min

Sharpen Your Abs – Calorie-scorching cardio intervals that work your core from 6 different angles – 40 minutes Phase 1

Strength Intervals – High-intensity cardio with intervals of lower-body resistance moves – 30 minutes Phase 1

Total Strength – A great full body workout! 45 min. phase 1

Doing squats in the wrong way can be heavy

Mercy Abs – It’s all about abs in this one lol-15 min. phase 1

Fat-Burning Abs – An energizing new ab and cardio combination routine that lives up to its name – 40 minutes. phase 2

Strength Intervals 2 – Lower body resistance moves and insane cardio -30 minutes. phase 2

Strength and Endurance – This total body workout is no joke my friends!! 30 min.. Phase 2

Merciless Abs – There’s no break in this ab workout and it hits the abs! 15 min. phase 2

Rev It Up Cardio is a great cardio interval workout that really works up a sweat. 40 min phase 2

The 6 angles I talked about earlier are Upper, Lower Flexion, Double Flexion, Twisting, Extension and Side Flexion!!

During my first week I couldn’t believe how much my core and body was hurting. I think I was working really hard because I was on the 14 day jump start program (I dropped 13 pounds!!) Brett is very positive about being part of the fitness revolution and being a role model during the workouts let’s talk. He is also a very funny person. He says some funny quotes like when you start to get tired during a workout your brain kicks in to stop you, he calls it chatter. When chatter calls Brett says to ask it to talk to the arm. Also Brett says several times that he’s an outstanding collector and when you’re done, if done correctly there should be a sweat off your back, so he goes and checks it all out to see if Are they sweating or not? He introduces himself as a member of the Back Sweat Police. He is a great motivator and coach and makes working out fun!

During workout, Bret not only works on your body but also on your mind in a very positive way. They also have a talk test they call Anthem to measure your intensity during a workout. It’s like rev it high rev it low I’m strong committed and ready to go. This will tell you if you are at the right intensity. Increase your intensity if said perfectly without pausing. I use a heartrate monitor that does the same thing as the talk test or the anthem. I really can’t believe all the inches I’m losing. I just did my last workout on week 11/day 77 and my results just keep getting better and better! I really liked the foods in Rave Nutrition Guide, they are really effective and provide energy for my workouts. I incorporated Shakeology drinks into my nutrition to make sure I was getting all my servings of fruits and vegetables. To focus solely on fitness and not on diet is kind of stupid.

I believe in maximizing my results – not to mention summer is right around the corner! I am a firm believer in Beachbody products and I am also a realist that it all depends on the efforts and determination of our starting positions to achieve the best results. It didn’t take me 90 days to get into the awesome shape before p90x and craziness, but I know it’s a great start to a healthy lifestyle for me and my family.
