You’ve Hit A Plateau On Your Six Pack Abs Workout – Now What?

You are doing most of the work every day. You were losing weight and you were starting to see some definition. Yes! Your body just put on the brakes. you’re tired. A couple of pounds you lost came back to you. OK, you’ve hit a plateau on your six pack abs workout. What should you do now?

Sometimes a day or so break may be in order. But chances are you just need to modify your training to help you get your six pack abs back on track. You might have been doing the same six pack abs routine and diet for the last 4-6 weeks. If so, stand back and think about it for a moment.

You can increase your weights or add minutes to your cardio, but you might want something different for your six pack abs. If you’re tired, adding weights may not be the answer right now.

Try these as alternatives:

1. Change the order of your exercises. Same thing but start from the back. or combine them altogether.

2. Try the super setting with little or no break in between. After 10 minutes take a break of 2 or 3 minutes. And get straight to work.

3. Change your difficulty level by changing the angle of your lifting, the angle of the treadmill, etc.

4. Think of doing similar exercises – arms, chest, legs together.

5. You can reduce the weight to 5 or 10 pounds (depending on which body part you’re working) but increase the number of repetitions. If you’ve done 3 sets of 12 before, do 1 set of 40. Do something in that order.

6. On your cardio, once you’ve warmed up, go as fast as you can for as long as you can. Once you reach your limit, return to your normal pace. After you’ve recovered, run as fast and for as long as you can again. Then slow down End your cardio at your normal time.

There are more changes you can make to get your six pack abs back on track. Whatever you choose, put all your energy into it. Focus entirely on your new exercise variations and you’ll start to see results.

You will start feeling energetic. You’ll feel refreshed with a different routine, even though you’re still doing the same exercises, just in a slightly different way. As soon as you see that you are back on track to make progress towards meeting your six pack abs goal, then focus on modifying your routine further.
