Mental health tips: Ways to deal with physical stress from work from home

the culture of Work from home is nothing new, but it became more frequent since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, to keep the country’s economy in line. Although the concept was prevalent earlier in the lawsuit, it was enforced with full effect during the coronavirus pandemic and office culture work is slowly resuming.

However, employees who work from home are forced to deal with physical and mental stress along with work, where stress can be caused by having too much work and not enough time to complete the task. It is very important to address the physical and mental stress of employees working from home, as it is more damaging than the pandemic itself.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Vaishali Srinivas, Assistant Spa Manager at Clarks Exotica, shared: “A person is prone to physical and mental stress throughout their life and the best way to deal with it is through meditation, yoga etc. Spa Therapies on the other hand help to instantly reduce stress and rejuvenate the body. There are different types of spa mainly Destination Spa, Resort Spa and Day Spa. Spa therapy typically includes varieties of massages, facials, body scrubs, and steam baths.”

She suggested: “Different types of massage help counter stress differently. For example, an aroma therapy treatment with different types of aroma oil helps improve blood circulation, skin elasticity, improves sleep quality, and reduces stress and anxiety. A Shirodhara, which is Ayurvedic in nature, is a warm oil dripping treatment on the forehead that helps counter stress, migraine and insomnia. While a spa therapy is a great way to beat stress and get instant relief, it is also equally important to engage in daily physical activities such as gymnastics, cycling, jogging, meditation, etc.
